Day 4 -Palm Springs

Climbed up 3,000 ft to Mojave desert!

Change of plans, Las Vegas here we come!!! (As if Steve would agree!!!)

Arrived at our home RV Park to overnight enroute to Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. Will return for three months in December 22.

Third day/night

Left JGW RV resort at 7:45 AM. First big city was Sacramento.

Talk about tons of tomatoes. These look like Roma tomatoes.

Arriving at the Orange Grove RV resort

Nestled amingst the orange trees.

Had to go inside as it was too hot, not complaining though!

Off to JGW RV Resort

Another gorgeous day to travel. Left at 7:45. See you next year Hee Hee!!

Continued south and crossed Siskiyou Pass summit over 4000 feet but no snow this time! 

Went down the other side of the pass. Was beautiful driving and a gorgeous view of Mount Shasta.

Rest stop to make a sandwhich right in the river! Took the "polar bear/Yellowknife license plate" off of dad's truck and now a memory of dad will travel with us from this point forward.

Arrived at JGW RV resort at 3:15 PM. Just in time for happy hour.

Beautiful RV park right on the Sacramento River.

They have these real natural full body outdoor saunas where you are totally engulfed with the bushes with only your head sticking out.

2017-18 Snowbird Trip

Headed out nice and early at 7:45 a.m. It will take 6 days to get Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. First stop was just before Bellingham to grab a coffee and a muffin.

Gorgeous day to be driving. It actually went to 32 C.

Crossing the bridge from Washington into Portland.

We were making excellent time, and then hit Portland around 3:30 and came to a dead stop.

Arrived at Hee Hee Illahee RV resort at 4:30. Steve off to the gym, Dave just sat around (as usual, but made a delicious Caesar!)
