Off to Kelso, WA

Beautiful when we arrived but woke to a downpour!

Clouds low but picturesque.

No pun intended but "flew" by Seven Feathers and was able to get a pic of the eagle.

Stopped for diesel and coffee. Went inside to get the diesel receipt and with all the room in the yard, he decides to park under this sign? Really? No, seriously!

Some pics of Portland.

Got a nice spot by ourselves. Too ugly out to sit and have Caesars. Sure missing that hot sun and tropical drinks.

Park is in Kelso which is around 55 miles north of Portland.

Sitting back having a beer after driving in the rain storm and a traffic jam in downtown Portland!

One more sleep and we are back to counting down 297 more sleeps until head south!!

Stop at Grants Pass

Had a good drive but hit an awful rain storm! Buckets!!

We barely started the decent down from Siskiyou Pass when a beautiful
rainbow below us came through.

Then few minutes later blue sunny skies!

Pulled into Jacks Landing RV Resort in Grants Pass.

Dinner, few drinks and bed. Have to get up early and head to Longview, WA, around 55 miles north of Portland.

Goodbye Sunshine, Hello Rain!

Left Cathedral Palms RV Resort at 8:00 a.m. 10 seconds after this picture was taken and we started to drive, tears came down Dave's cheeks and had lump in throat! 😢

More huge wind turbines as we left Palm Springs.

Got to Merced River Resort at 4:30 and had a cold one flowing by 5:15. Wouldn't actually call it a "Resort". Totally full and got a shitty site although we had reservations.

Well at least we are by ourselves with no "Looky Loo" neighbours!

Subway sandwich for dinner, few R & C and hit the sack as we want to be on the road at 7:00 a.m. Found a new rum, yum. Not Captain Morgan , but Admiral Nelson! (His cousin)

Last day

Well the time has come to head back home. Just a few random pics before we head out in the morning.

Happy Hour

Posing by the pool.

Interesting cactus by the pool.

Making delicious refreshing drinks.

Chief Palm Head

And the pic that the Manager of the RV park took and is on their Facebook page Cathedral Palms RV Resort.
